About

I started painting for myself as I wanted large canvases on my walls.  I didn't want anything too detailed and my preference is semi-abstract landscapes and seascapes. I like subtle paintings that add a block of colour to a wall but I also love creating the 'funky' ones where everything is really messy.

I'm from a mixture of Glasgow and the north west Highlands and grew up sailing on the west coast amongst all the weather and storms it provides.  I often paint memories of a stormy day at sea or from photos of the stunning north west Highlands. Those who have been to the Highlands will know that it's not just the scenery which is spectacular; there is some sort of atmosphere that draws you in, bringing repeat visitors for generations.  I try to capture that in a simplistic, semi-abstract way that hopefully the viewer can relate to.

My paintings are bought by commercial and residential clients. Commercial clients include The Royal Bank of Scotland global Art collection and the famous India of Inchinnan art deco building in Glasgow. Private clients are mostly across the UK & Ireland but others have gone across the world to UAE, United States and beyond.  Please get in touch if you have any questions.
